Manager Eager will not conclude
any arrangements for a Thanksgiving
game until after February 1. Not un
til that date -will the Big Nine schools
know what Michigan Is going to do
about returning to the conference and
they will not schedule games with Ne
braska until the Wolverines act. And
as Mr Eager Is figuring on getting
two or three games with conference
schools bofloro scheduling any other
games for next season the Universi
ties wanting a Thanksgiving contest
will have to wait until after February
first.

Many Students of Botanical Seminar
of 1886 Succeed.
Dr. Besaey is in receipt of a letter
from. J. G. Woods, '88, who is at tho
head of the United States Experiment
Station at Honolulu. This brings to
ir.ind the formation of the botanical
seminar In 1886. It was formed by
seven students, all of whom have
achieved distinction after leaving
school. The original members were
Dean Roscoo Pound, J. Q. Woods,
mentioned above; Schofleld, now a
prominent doctor in Iowa; Weber, for
u long time a botanist In the United
States Department of Agriculture, and
now jirofessor of plant breeding at
Cornell JIntversIty; WIlllamB, who at
(he time of his death was the foremost
authority on Hchen in the country;
Mnrsland, one time teacher in tho
Lincoln High School, and now a suc
cessful business man in Boston; and
Woods, one of tho foremost technical
botanists in the employ of the govern
ment. Three passenger trains leave Lin
coln every day via the Missouri Pa
cific at 8:00 a. m., 2:30 p. m., and 10:15
p. m. Through pullman sleeper for
Kansas City leaves every night at
10:15 p. m. The day express for Kan
sas City and SL .Louis leaves at 8:00
