Mr. W. J. Bryan will address the
women's meeting, under tho auspices
of the Y. W. C. A., Sunday afternoon,
January I2lh, In the Lyric theatre. In
addition to Mr. Bryan's address, Miss
Rayner will give a violin solo, ahd
Messrs. Ireland and Agee will sing.
As many of the girls as can are asked
to Join tho chorus, led by Miss VIb
bard, which is in need oi having its
ranks swelled. AH University women
are cordially invited to attend these
Sunday afternoon meetings, which are
proving to bo a large success.

Doings In the Medical College as New
Year Begins
Dr. H. M. McCIanahan, professor of
pediatrics, returned recently from a
seven months' trip to Europe. After
two months of travel with his family,
visiting various European places of In
terest, the doctor spent the remainder
of his time studying at the larger Eu
ropean hospitals for children, putting
In six weeks at both SL Ann's Hospi
tal for Children, Vienna, and The
Children's Hospital, London,
Dr. McCIanahan speaks with pride
of having crossed tho Atlantic on the
"Mauritania,'' which is at present re
garded as the finest ocean linor Jn tho
world.
The seniors are glad to see Dr. A. B.
Somers back In the lecture room again.
The doctor is gradually recovering
from a severe attack of pneumonia.
Dr. Owen returned recently from a
month's trip visiting Eastern, special
ists.
Most of the medics, spent the holi
days out of town visiting wltn rela
tives and friends. The exact numjjej;

cation has not yet been determined,
as not all of the fellows have returned.
Don Skeen Is receiving congratulations
