An effort ib being made by the St. Lpuls alumni of the University of Nebraska to 'bring 'Varsity men from neighboring cities to the St. Louis Nebraska game Thanksgiving. The Chicago U. of N. Club has boon asked to send a bunch of rooters to the Mis souri city for tho game, but It Is quite probable that few or none of Its mem bers will accept the Invitation, the chances of a close game being too slight to entice them from a pleasant holiday at home. Were Carlyle In dians not to play In Chicago the Sat- urday boforo the game or were there any prospects of St. Louis putting up a contest which would In any way en danger tho supremacy of tKcMPorn husker team In the Missouri valley, Chicago Nobraskans might see lit to attend the game and do their share toward defending the football honor of their alma mator. As It Is, how over, they will content themselves with reading the evening reports of tho game and wondering why It was that the St. Louis institution didn't make a better showing. Frank BarkB, ex. '07, now with the Continental Steel Company of St. LouIq, wlrtes that In spite of its trim ming at tho hands of Wabash College, St. Louis Is confident. of winning from Nebraska next Thanksgiving day. The "Show Me" institution bases its hopes almost entirely upon the too of its star kicker and the tricks which Its coach has Invented and Is now per fecting specjajly for the Nebraska game.
