Palladia! Hall Will Be Dedicated at
the Temple.
One of the first events to take place
in the University Temple will bo the
dedication of Palladian Hall ,whlch is
set for 'November 8. The society haB
Issued letters of Invitation to all
alumni and associate members whoso
addresses were known, and expects a
large attendance. The now hall will
bo beautifully furnished and will be
UBed for a part of the program. Tho
special feature of tho evening will be
a banquet, which will be held in the
original 'Palladian hall, the one used
by tho Boclety thirty years ago. After
this leave-taking the guests will re
turn to the Temple and will then see
that the Palladian spirit is properly
planted In the now soil. All former
Palladians are urged to attend and to
communicate with tho secretary of the
committee, Miss Flora Bullock, Station
A, 'Lincoln.

Manager Eager Makes Another Offer
of a Prize.
Another song contest is on. Man
ager has announced that he will give
two reserved seats for the Denver
game for tho best Bong written for that
game. Several songs have already
been received by Manager Eager.
Palladian Reception.
Friday afternoon, November 8, 1907,
at their new home In the Temple, be
tween 4 and 0, tho Palladian 'Literary
Society will hold a reception . to tho
faculty and students of tho University
of Nebraska.
At G:30 they will have their ban
quet In the old home, to which only
members are invited.
After the banquet they will leave
tho .old hall and have tho dedicatory
program of the new home. "
The student council of tho Universi
ty of Michigan has made an agree
ment with tho chief of police to the
offect that the council will consltute
a court of Inquiry to try students
charged with minor offenses, and will
mete out such punishment as the coun
cilhien deem tho case warrants. Prov
ident Angell has said that he would
stand by the decision of tho council
and aid it in enforcing its decisions
even to thfe extent of expelling a ;han
from college.'
