Memorial Hall, carefully carrying to
a great club nearly throo foot in

whore tho prisoners were waiting.
Mr. Hascal was at once sot free, but

his face blackened with charcoal, was
led up O street in tho midst of- u
howling crowd. Three times thd

waiting for the expected attack of tho
Freshmen, but ho Preshmon appearod,
Finally Mr. Weaverling 'waa conduct
ed to his rooms, where three choors
were given for him Tioforo ho was set

Mr. Weaverling declarod that hp
had no hard feolings whatever on
tho way bo had beon treated, -but felt
that ho had boon treated white in
every particular. Ho said that ho
only hoped ho Would bo able to treat
some Sophomore in tho same mannor

Williams Has Plenty of Material on

has two full team's on tho first Ames
squad. Tho new candidates are Reeves
and Main, wlio tiro candidates for tho

StaufTor. Guy Lambert has beon shift
ed from orid to half and it is expected
that ho will stay there for Bomo time
to "come. Sioux Jones, coach of tho
scrubs, has beon bringing out some,
now plays for tho varsity to boIvo
based on tho Iowa formations, nnd
thus far Williams' men have had Httlo
difficulty in breaking them up.
Tho work of Mcltoberts, tho fresh
mnn quarter baek, is especially not
able, and as this is tho last year for
both Jenson and Hubbard, tho develop
mont of this new star is especially
pleasing to tho coaches. Practically no
preparations aro b01ng mado for the
game with Cornell College, Iowa, to bo
played here Saturday.
