Professor Fogg spoke highly of Dean
Pound's ability and also told about
the danger of Nebraska's losing all her
best men. Ho said that the under
graduates and alumni must -wake up
and do something to keep Nebraska
in her present rank.
Professor Hastings declared no man
could All Dr. Pound's place, and he
said ho hoped Inducements enough
would be offered to keep the Dean at
Nebraska.
Professor Costlgan expressed the be
lief that the spirit of the law students
will move them to such action as the
retention of Dean Pound will need.
He said there was no man to take the
Dean's place.
Dr. Howard deplored the condition
of affairs at Nebraska that permits
other schools to got our best men, and
to get better equipment than we can
afford. He declared that a now policy
TOUst be inaugurated if Nebraska Is
to stand as a leading university.
In a short speech M. L. Corey made
a strong plea for the organization of
a strong alumni body to push the in
terests of Nebraska.
Upon the motion of Professor Hast
ings", a committee of Ave was appoint
ed to lay before the regents the reso
lutions passed by the meeting.

The Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass.
With the completion of the new buildings, which were dedicated Septem
ber 25th, 1906, this school now has facilities and equipment for teaching and
research In the various branches of medicine probably unsurpassed In this
country. Of the Ave buildings, four are devoted entirely to laboratory
teaching and research. The numerous hospitals of Boston afford abundapt
opportunities for clinical Instruction in medicine and surgery.
COURSE FOR THE DEGREE OF M. D.
A 'four years' course, open to bachelors of art, literature, philosophy or'
v science, and to persons of equivalent standing, leads to the degree of M. D.
The studies of the fourth year are wholly elective; they Include laboratory
subjects, general medicine, general surgery and the .special clinical branches.
The next school year extends from September 26, 1007, to June 29, 1908.
