The rally In Memorial Hall yester
day showed that the University pub
lic takeB an accurate measurement of
every man who holds a prominent
uosltlon In this Institution. It brought
out tho respect and appreciation that
every Nebraska man has for the pro
fessors who are making this a great

Those wore good soul-stlrrlng talks
and appeals given by tho faculty rep
resentatives. They made tho student
body realize how great a man Dean
Pound is, and how badly tho Univer
sity of Nebraska and Its Law College

Fund Contest.
The Y. W. C. A. Furnishing Fund at
present" stands as follows:
"Croam" $263.50
"Scarlet" 84.50
Total $348.00
All the reports from both sides are
not yot in and the total amount col
lected can not be definitely acser
talned. Owing to the fact that the
teams are still busy and are not able
to report pledges fully, the campaign
will be carried over until Tuesday of
next week.
The membersof the two teams are
requested not to cease their efforts
for the next few days. Every girl in
tho University should be Interested in
helping along this campaign and in
contributing whatever she can. Girls,
do not hold back If you can give only
25 cents. Four quarters make a dol
lar, you know.

tion. The people respect and honor him,
but friendship alone cannot keep Dean
Pound here, when other schools are
clamoring to secure his services and
are offering him handsome salaries.
