Arouses Enthusiasm and Proves a
Great Success.
The last of the year's chicken pie
sunpors was given to ja big crowd of
young men' at St. Paul's church last
Saturday evening. Excellent music
was furnished by the Baptist quartet,
and by E. T. Pholps on the trombone.
Tho levity of tho evening was decid
edly marked. Impromptu songs, pun
ning on various prominent members,
rang in chorus around the tables, and
conversation flowed freely.
Roports from the chairmen of the
various Y. M. committees were called
for, and the men told in a few words
the alms, plans and successes of tho
various committees. The program
was short and brisk and all adjourned
at 8 o'clock, but It is declared that at
that hour only twenty biscuits re
mained as a monument of the even
ing's devastation.

Last Saturday several of the
"babes" of the last County Fair took
jaunt Into the country; enjoying u
thoroughly infantile outing. It is
said that one of the members of the
party had tho delicious adventure of
falling Into the lake and that another
