Nothing would be more beneficial
to truck nml spring nthloticR in gen
eral at the University than an excur
slon to Lawrence on the twenty-fifth
of May. These branches of sport nt
Nebraska have never received the sup
port duo them, and if more people
could be induced to attend the games

the year, there is no question as to
their retaining interest.
That Nebraska is to have a "stiff

those acquainted with the records

portunlty to see something of the
equipment, the buildings of certain
others universities around them. Tha't
might bo of benoflt also in starting
the movement toward obtaining bet

sight-seeing of this sort has a con

It is a pleasure, to find something
once In a while for which nothing
less thnn thankfulness and praise are
due. It Is easy enough to find ault;
indeed, It seems the natural thing to

gate some balmy spring morning,
sending off over the campus something
that makes upon the senses anything
but the impression of fresh ozone, one
enn not refrain from heaving a sigh o2
relief, from unwordly congratulating
oneself on the fact that thore are no
more people composing the group.

Support, however, means very much
and when a contest proves on tho
"close" order, the presence or lack
of a little support may swing the
final result to something unexpected.
It was the Minnesota band that de
feated Nebraska's, basketball team at
Minneapolis last winter. It Is quite
possible that an excursion of Nebraska
students to Lawrence would mean n
victory for Nebraska's track team
which it could not otherwise win.
Besides arousing enthusiasm for
spring nthletics and supporting the
team in a very close meet, it would
also give Nebraska students an op-

Nothing startling happened and no one

something threatening life and limb.
Perhaps It will bqa relief to some
timid ones to know that of all the
students taking the Chemistry courses
at the University, no one over suf
