Not a word has been said in defense of members of this organization, not a man has put in his appearance to contradict the state ments made or to see that his repu tation was not being maligned. Why is this? Beforo this, other departments and organizations have been "tbuched" and Instantaneous response resulted. Those feeling the attack were not slow Tho Triangular Debating League, composed of Amherst, Wesloyan, and Williams will hold its first annual de bate December 7. One debate will be held at each college; ' Amherst-Williams at Amherst; Amherst-Wesleyan at Middleton; Wesleyan-Williams at WilliamBtown. Tho question is "Re solved, That tho policy, embodied in tho ponding treaty between San Dom ingo and the United States is a de sirable departure In American diplomacy." On May 14 Bowdoin will meet Cor nell In debate at Brunswick. Tho question will be, "Resolved, That the solution of the street railway problem lies in private ownership." Bowdoin will debate the affirmative. A two-year agreement has been signed by tho Bowdain council for two debates with Syracuse University. The first will take place at Syracuse, March 31.
