Ing at D. U. House.
Company H took the Inltlntlve atop I
this year In arousing company enthusl
asm by holding a smoker at the D. U.

smoker was given by the non-coms un
der the management of Arthur Jonta,
piesldent of the company.
The company turned out almost to
a man and the ovenlng was beguiled I
with various antic amusements, such
as the blindfold combat, tho Company
Q spelldown, and the guoss-whopaddle
game. Refreshments of various kinds
wore supplied In abundance.
At about eleven o'clock the house
was called to order and speeches were
called for. Captain McWllllams, Lieu
ttnant Needham, Sergeant Guthrie,
and "Windy" Houseworth wore in turn
called upon, and all spoke at length
on Company B'b prospects of winning
the cui) at competitive drill this year.
Tho men readily grasped the enthusi
asm and cheered lustily for the speak
ers and for Company H.
Ah a point of business the men voted
to give a banquet some time this
spring, at which time an effort will be
made to have present as many as pos
sible of the ex-ofilcers of the company
nv well as any old Company 11 men
who-can attend.
