Samuel M. Rinuker, 1909, of Bea

Beatrice High School In 1905. Ho was
a member of the Boatrice debato team
for throe years. Ho won a place on
the Hquad In his Freshman year, has
been president of his cIhbb twice, and
pnssed the Rhodes Scholarship exami
nation this year, which mnkcs him eli
gible for the $6,000, four-year scholar
Bhlp at Oxford University. He is a
member of Alpha Theta Chi fraternity.
Joseph M. Swenson, 1908, Is a gradu
ate of the Omaha High School, which
he represented on five victorious de
bating teaniB. He won tho unusual
honor of representing the University
in iuter-colleigate debate in his fresh
man year, being a member of tho team
that defeated Washington University.
He was president of his class the first
Bemester last yenr, and has high gen
eral rank as .a scholar.
Clyde C. McWhinney, Law 1908, of
Lincoln, graduated at tho Alliance
High School. He was a member of the
squad last year, and he won one of tho
scholarship prizes in tho College of
Law last year. Ho is the president of
the University Forum.
Nebraska-Illinois.
Byron E. Yodor, 1908, William R.
King, 1908, and George M. Tnulson,
1907, with Frank C. Builta, 1908, as
alternate, composed tho Nobraska
team which debated against Illinois at
Urbana last night. Illinois was repre
sented by C. A. Marshall, 1908, S. L.
Largo, 1909, Dean S. Doran,.1909.
Nebraska supported tho negative
side of tho question and Illinois up
held the afllrmativo side. In both tho
main and rebuttal speeches tho de
baters spoke in the order given above.

C. A. Marshall, 1908, lsa member of
the Adolphlc Literary Society and was
an alternate -on the Illinois-Indiana
team.
S. L. Large, 1909, is a member of the
Philomathean. Literary Society and
was a participant in the Freshman
Sophomore debate in J905.
Dean S. Dorhan, 1909, Is a member
of the Philomathean Literary Society
and was a member of the Freshman
Sophomore debate in 190G.

William R. King, 1908, of Osceola,
Is the son of Senator King. He is a
graduate of the Osceola High School.
This is IiIb first year on tho squad.
He is a member of the Delta Tau
Delta.
Georgo M. Tunison, 1907, is a'gradu
a'to of the Cozad High School. Ho was
a member of tho squad last year. . Ho
is prominent In 'various ways in col
lego life. Ho is studying law, ang be

Frank C. Builta, 1908, of Burchard,
Nobr., graduated from the Burchard
High School in 1902. He represented
that school for two years Jn the South
eastern Nebraska High 'School Debat
ing League. He is taking the Literary
course and intends to study law. This
his first year on the University do-.
