The Engineering Society has just
comploted nrrangementa to bring Dr.
William R. Kent to the University tho
latter part of April, when he will de
liver two addresses to the engineering
students. Dr. Kent Is Dean of tho Col
lego of Engineering at Syracuse Uni
versity, nnd is ono of the most widely
known mechanical engineers In the
United States. Ho Is tho author of sev
eral technlcul texts, Including "Kent's
Mechanical Engineer's Pocket Book,"
which is one of tho standard refer
ences for engineers and Iiob, perhaps,
the widest circulation and Is the most
generally accepted text of Its kind.
It Is frequently referred to by engi
neers as "Tho Engineer's Bible." On
Steam Boilers and their application
and use, ho Is a recognized authority
and tho Society Is to bo congratulated
