Chicago Sculptor and Author Visiting
Mr. Jewott.
Professor Lorndo Tnft, Instructor at
th'o Chicago Art Institute, is at pres
ent visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jewott,
being a cousin of tho latter. Profes
sor Taft is a sculptor and author of
considerable note. A number of his
works were on exhibition both at the
Pan-Amerlcati Exposition, whore he
won a silver medvil; nnd at the St.
Louis Exposition, where he won the
gold medal.
Bosidos Instructing at the Art
Institute, 'Mr. Taft gives a course of
lectures on Art at tho University of
Chicago. Ho is a member of both the
American Sculptors' Society and the
Western Society of Artists. 'H1b prin
cipal publication is a "History of
American Sculpture."

the campus recently, stopping here on
his return home from Wahoo, where
ho delivered a lecture. He Invited Dr.
Bolton to give an address on "Growth

Society at Iowa University, March 27.
