dents at Nebraska to mako a big pro
test against submlttlngyto the Con
ference dictators.
Several students expressed their
opinion yestorjhiy-and .all wore lnfa
vor of dropping negotiations with the
"Big Nino schools.
One prominent senior said, "I
know Nebruska would' lose much In a
financial way by breaking off rela
tions with tho 'Big Nine' schools, but
I am in favor of doing ad becauso we
would be much bettor off In every
other respect. Wo could get Into our
own class and bo 'big toad in a small
puddle' by playing smaller schools."
Another student warmed up and
made this statement: "You bet I nm in
favor of dropping those 'Big Nino'
teams Wo lose every game wo play
with them and do not gain a thing.
Let us play Kansas, Missouri, and
and such teams horeaftor, and we will
win a lew victories. I am against con
tinuing relations with these schools.
Let them 'skidoo.' "
Manager Eager refused to say what
course the University authorities
would pursue in regard to tho matter
but ho thought that the opinion of tho
students would bo a big factor in de
termining the action to be taken.
