Club 16 Entertained by Literature and
Music.
The meeting of the English Club at
tho home of IVlIss Roman lafit Satur
day, evening was a veritable feaHt of
literature and music. The literary
part of the program consisted of a
reading of tho first act of an original
play ontitled "The Chancellor,"- a 'pro
duction of one of tho members. Tho
play proved to be quite a clover pleco
of work, and held the closest attention
of tho club.
Mr. Shellhorn furnished splendid
music on tho piano, while Miss Hull-
Lhorst proved very pleasing Jn hor vo
cal solos.
After the formal part of the program
'was over a delicious luncheon was
served by the hostess, and the meeting
jadjournod at a late hour.
