The meeting of the English Club at tho home of IVlIss Roman lafit Satur day, evening was a veritable feaHt of literature and music. The literary part of the program consisted of a reading of tho first act of an original play ontitled "The Chancellor,"- a 'pro duction of one of tho members. Tho play proved to be quite a clover pleco of work, and held the closest attention of tho club. Mr. Shellhorn furnished splendid music on tho piano, while Miss Hull- Lhorst proved very pleasing Jn hor vo cal solos.
