Collecting History Statistics.
The department of American His
tory has been sending cards to tho
different high schools of the state in
quiring how much history is taught,
how it is divided between European
and American History, and tho meth
ods of teaching American History.
The statistics' thus secured will be
used for the University Journal, for
different teachers' classes, and alBo
for 'the Summer School.
The University authorities tat Chi
cago, like those at Nebraska, are "hav
ing much trouble with thieves. De
spite all their precautions, students
are losing money and valuables from
the various buildings on the campus.
Green's barber shops excel all others
in the west. Entirely modern and the
