The fraternity baseball situation Is
about ut a head. Tho relative strength
of the teams in each of the two divi
sions, East and West, is now fairly
determined. On the East sldo the
fight has between tho Phi Psls and
Delta Taus. Tho former have a shade
the bettor of It', and have won one
more gamo than tho Delta Taus. But
tho show down is yet to come when
these two teams get together. This
game was scheduled for last Sat'ur
day, but wITs postponed on account of-
tho track. meet, and will probably be
played thlB week.
On the West side, the Kappa Slgs
are In 'the lend, with one game more
than Phi Gamma Delta, the next In
line. The Kappa Slgs defeated the lat
ter team In their scheduled game and
the result of tho Wost Side Is not to
bo prophesied. Tho Phi Gams, by
winning their next game, will tlo tho

and the two teams will bo compelled

Bui" Why should we- care,, for tho
weather will wash tho paint off In tho
cqurso of a dozen years. This Viola
tion of decency, could bo overlooked
. bytho students, but it Is the citizens
of Lincoln and taxpayers of this state
that have a right to express 'their dls
'J approval. Thoy are the ones- that
wish to point with pride to tholr. Unl

kan that brings a friend to look on a
group of .buildings so besmeared with
red paint as ours are at tho present
time. We simply, ask If this Is col
lege splrjt or enthusiasm?
The company was not satisfied with
painting ' University buildings, ,but
went down town, with the red liquid.
Finally they wound up at the State
Houso, whoro thoy smeared tho stono
