The banquet was not oxactly a "howling" success, but It was perhaps tho most enjoyable affair that tho Engineers have ever given. About sixty husky lads sat down, and even tho most hungry and critical found nothing to complain of In the bounteous feast. Tho toasts were of surpassing excellence and brimming ovor with timely wit and funny stories. Mr, Davis as loaslmastor soomed to bo a consolidation of Bill Nye, Mark Twain and Ezra Kendall. Professors Sears, Swoboda and Richards repre sented the faculty of the three depart ments and wished the boys all kinds of success. The menu cards wore espe cially pretty, being furnished by tho committee Itself, Instead of by the hotel. Much credit Is duo the commit tee for tho high standard and good taste In their management.
