The mass meeting held for the Glee
and Mandolin Clubs In Memorial Hall
yesterday morning shows what enthu
siasm can be stirred up In the Uni
versity when the cause demands. The
students displayed a spirit in the meet-,
lug , which Is very commendable In
deed and every suggestion of the lend
ers was curried oul to the letter. It
llic enthusiasm of yesterday morning
continues until after Friday night It
Is sure that the Glee Club concerts
will be a great success financially. The
students have demonstrated what they
could do Tor Univcrslt. affairs In the
past and tonight Is to see the repeti
tion of the same old spirit that carries
with it tho determination "to do or
die."
University spirit Is n gueat, gram
and glorious thing to possess. Each of
us claim to hnvo our f till share, but
some of us .iro loth to display It. u
the tood old days of football we are
occasionally called together at a mass
meeting or a game and such bursts
of onthuslasm. nro hetu'd as would do
( the heart of the blaclesf pessimist a
world of good. Yesterday we were
given an opportunity to frlvo vent to
a few yolls and cheers and many
seemed to realize for the first time
that their spirit and interest was dy
ing out, being lost in the vicissitudes
pf study. Many seemed to find It a
groat relief and thorough onjoyment
to be able to' cheer right out loud with
out being reprimanded forjt and they
proceeded to give way to their feel
ings. Tho management of the con
Rcncon opened.

Today and tomorrow "Ducky's"

a large crowd is expected down at An
