For the second time during the past year tho varsity wore only able to como out second best with K. C. A. C, in track athletics, as tho club mon had 34 points to their credit, while Nebraska was second with 13 1-2. Wallaco was tho only man on tho team who cap tured a first place, taking the 45-yard hurdles.-with Peck and Hagenslck close at his heels, Nebraska getting all three places. Hagenslck and Moyer, as scratch men, were unable to land firsts In tho'lr events, tho polo vault and hjgh jump respectively. Houser was also badly handicapped in the , hurdles. St. Louis University, Kansas and Missouri were all below Nebraska when flnnl results were known. Tho varsity surely made a great showing when it is considered that wo had scratch men in five out of seven handicap events. Girls1 Basket-Bail Trurnament. Tho girls' basket-ball tournament proved to be a victorious day for tho Seniors, as they carried off tho cham pionship. Tho Juniors secured tho pennant after tho contest, but when they could not nrouso any indignation In Senior ranks, peacefully returned It. The Juniors had a very clover procession before and after tho tour nament, hoaded-by their cadot band. On Majch 2nd tho girls' varsity basket-ball team defeated tho Peru Normal girls by a very Iarge"Bcoro. Misses Glttlngs and Everett wore tho bright particular stars on tho varsity. Tho Lincoln Academy and Lincoln High School teams played a gamo as a curtain raiser. This resulted in a vic tory for Lincoln High School.
