Jolly Sleighing Party.
About a dozen enthusiastic Univer
sity "co-eds" came to tho conclusion
that the tardiness of their gentlemen
friends was no reason why they should
not have a sleigh ride. After calling
up a number oj tho livery barns by
phone, a double cutter and a team
that girls could drive was finally se
cured. Division number one of tho
party left on scheduled time. For
a. while all went well. The sleigh
bells were ringing, maidens were
laughing and singing, tho prancing
horses wore snorting In the frosty air.
As the 'party was nearlng Sixteenth
and N Streets and.wero congratulating
themselves over their venture, the
break-down so Indispensable ta every
successful sleigh ride occurred and
hats, wraps, furs, .maidens- and all
wore precipitated into tho fleecy snow.
