Crolghton men received slight Injuries.
Taylor and Morse, two of Nebraska's
first team men, wero not in the game
Saturdny. ':
The game more In detail Is:
First Half.
At 3:15 sharp both teams took their
respective places, Nebraska dofending
tho north goal. Crelghtbn .kicked off
to Eager, who returned the ball fif
teen yards. Nebraska fallod to guln
on line buck, but Little went .around
tho end for fifteen yards-, followed by
Benedict and Johnson, who each made
fifteen. Little made fifteen more,
then Cotton was pushed over the lino
for 'a touchdown, just two minutes
after Crclghton had klckejl off. Wel
ler kicked goal. Score, G-0. Nobrnska
kicked off to Crelghton's fifteen ?ard
line, and she returned tho ball about
ten yards. Crolghton prepared to
punt, but Borg broke through and
blocked tho punt. Benedict secured
the ball, and ran twenty yards for a
touchdown. Wellor klcksgoal. Score,
12-0.
The game was varied at this stago
by Little and Johnson making a touch
down In two runs of about forty yards
each. Wellor kicked the goal. Spore,
18-0. From this on the plays wero
merged Into foot races of from ten to
soventy-flve yards each. Crclghton
could not hold us for downs at any
time. Tho half ended with tho score
standing 41-0. Weller had failed to
kick but one goal out of tho seven
chances.
Second Half.
Denslow went In at end this half In
stead of Benedict. Nebraska kicked
off to Crelghton on her own ten yard
Ino. Crolghton failed to gain on lino
buck, but on the next few plays they
succeeded In hitting Nebraska's lino
ifor ten yards. But the old "stone wall"
held firm and Crolghton attempted to
punt, but this was blpcked and Little
scooped up the ball, running twenty
five yards for touchdown. From this
time on t,ho touchdowns wero mndo
thick and fast. DenBlow and Johnson
alternated at chasing around tho Oma
ha team's Interference for long runs
Just to have, variety, Wilson, Little,
Cotton, and Weller would tear through
tho Crelghton lino for good substan
tial gains.
When tho score reached 8G-0, Ne
braska fumbled on her own thirty-five
yard lino. Hero Crelghton had her
only chance to score and tried a placo
kick, but Borg and Cotton broke
through, blocking tho kick, and Den
slow snatched up the ball . and run,
seventy-five yards for- a- touchdown.
Hereafter tjo game was only a matter
oi points. When the half and game
closed tho scoro stood 103-0 In favor of
Nebraska. This Is tho largest score
Nebraska ever ran up against her .op
ponents In any game.
Lantz and Lundln went In tho-gamo
for Wilson and Weller, respectively,
-during the second hnlf. ,
