New Physics Building to Be Occupied
In Thirty Days.

Is rapidly nearlng completion and from

occupied in about thirty days.
Work on tho structure, with tho ox
coptibn of a few finishing touches, Is
practically finished. Tho main work,
yot remaining is tho Installing and
placing of apparatus and equipments
for tho laboratories. Tho main lecture
room will bo provided with a thousand
dollar lecturo tablo, tho contract for
which has boon given to tho Curtis
Sash and Door company, Sioux City.
Tho designs 'for this table wero
drawn faftor studying similar tables
in Eastern and European colleges and
various modifications woro made by
tho late. Dr. Brace; Superintendent
Chowins, and others.
Tho first and second floors will bo
used by tho Department of Physics;
portions of tho third floor will bo
given over to tho Astronomy and Me
teorology Department. Tho cost of tho
ontlro building when completed will
probably bo $80,000.
Work on tho Executlvo Building will
not bo discontinued as was at first
supposed, but, nothing Interfering, will
bo finished by tho Christmas holidays
and ready to accommodate tho regis
tration of tho second semester.
U Tho use of tho building, ns Its name
Indicates, will bo solely for executive
purposes. There will bo provided of
fices for tho Chancollor, Registrar, Sec
rotary, Treasurer, Superintendent of
Buildings, a drafting room and others
of n similar nature. Rooms for the
Deans and University Senate will also
bo locatod there. The coBt, Including
equipments, will bo' $37,000.
