Excursion to Minnesota.
A desporato effort Is being made by
tho football management to procuro
such a TrittrHo Minnesota for the big
gamo as to Insuro a great excursion.
Slnco tho rato war of four years ago,
when a three-dollar round trip rato
wns made by onb of tho roads, nothing"
resembling a fair rate has been offered
by tho railroads, which have agreed
not to cut so low again. Already this
Vonr orto of tho Lincoln agents has
requested tho Western Passenger As
sociation at Chicago to make n gon
oral rato of over ten dollars, which
would, of course, mean no excursion,
us no ono wishes to spend a year's ex
penses to soo ovqn the Minnesota
game. Manager Morrison is going
to enter Into negotiation with tho dif
ferent roads which run to Minneapolis,
however, and attempt to procure -a
round trip rato of six dollars, good
from two days beforo tho gamo until
tho day aftor. To procjiro this rato it
Is absolutely necessary that ho bo able
to mako a definite pledge of a certain
number of tickets to tho railroad com
pany, and In order to do this) ho has
circulated a number of lists for Chose
who will ogree to go at this rato to
sign. As Borne move must be made
within three or four days, these
pledges should bo made as soon as
poBslblo. There Is no reason why at
least five hundred students nlone
should not take advantage of this of
fer, especially tho Freshmen, who have
never had a chance to go on a football
excursion bofore, and the Seniors, who
will novor have a chance again during
their undergraduate life.
One of these lists will probably bn
loft In tho Library entrance hall, so
that all may, have ail opportunity to
sign. There will also bo one In the
editorial offices of tho Nobraskan.
