A part holiday has been granted by the University authorities for Thurs day afternoon, May 25, in order to al low all of those who may wish to do so to attend thebaseball games which will be played on the campus that af ternoon to raise money for the benefit of the college settlement. The faculty nine and the men representing the Commercial Club will be the first to demonstrate their skill in handling the wagon tongue and sphere. From the showing made by tho "Profs" In prac tice the game promises to be one which will not be altogether one-sided, at least not so in favor of the Commer cial Club aggregation. The men most thoroughly acquainted with the real abilities of the men who make up the faculty nine claim some of them have "in their youthful days' been excellent players and that they will prove a sur prise to "the uninformed" when they get into their batting clothes. The game played that afternoon be tween the 'Varsity and tho Lincoln City team will be a good one and should be very entertaining. The men will all have entirely recovered from their long trip and hard playing, and the team will show their old time form. The spectators will be given an op portunity to Judge as to cause of tho poor success of the Varsity in winning some of the games on the Eastern trip. The trip was a severe test of their ability and euduranco and some of the results of this tost will be in evidence at tho game. The efforts of the faculty to aid the college settlement is doBflrvlnc -Xf the enthusiastic .support of the students and when vacation has been given on account of the occasion tho "Profs" promise to "flunk" every student in their respective classes who la not out on the bleachers that afternoon to ap plaud when they each make "their home run.' Preparations aro being made for publishing tho briefs on bibliographies of the debate on tho Fourteenth Ajneudincnt In "Bothsides," the new intercollegiate dobating journal. aaW M M IrLafdaT&AaaaVaPV a-" aaWaaT-V- J rF '"JaaftttBaflaaam HIGH ORAM EHuTDLATES BDNBnN5 For Sale Only at Harley's Drug Store, 11th and O.
