The subject of his oration was "Idols and Ideals." The following universities were represented In the contest, Wis consin, Minnesota, Michigan, North western, Iowa, Chicago and Oborlln college. Tho winning orator was royally received by his admiring school mates wnen ho returned to Madison. Owing to the recent exposures of graft at Minnesota tho faculty has hit upon tho following scheme to prevent further dishonesty: There shall be an auditing committee composed of four faculty members and three stu dents. Each of the three students shall be elected by and shall repre sent one of tho four colleges, Engi neering, Academics, Medical and Law and tho system will be rotating, one of tho four colleges to bo unrepresented at each of tho annual elections. This committee shall oxamlne tho accounts of overy student enterprise, not only tho publications, but tho literary, dramatic and debating societies and all other organizations which aro con ducted by tho student body.
