Protest Made.
There is little liklihood of any pro
test lodged against Johnson as western
inter-rollegiate gymnastic champio.i
being heard. The individaul champion
ship, awarded in Chicago at the meet
two weeks ago, was given to the man
having the highest number of points
as shown by the judges scoring, and
not to the man winning the greatest
number of points as shown by first,
second and third, for his team. This
method of scoring was clearly nuclei -stood
by the members of the associa
tion before the meet, and was as ( lear
ly understood by them afterwards
Zeidlhai k, the man who won Wiscon
sin's greatest number ot points, and
who won more points considered from
the positions of first, second and third,
than any other man, was given ninety
eight points by the judges as against
one hundred and two for Johnson. The
(Ucision giving to the Nebraska man
the individual championship will un
doubtedly be sustained.
