pleasant trip of inspection. Genoa
Fullerton, Cedar Rapids, Spalding, Al
bion, and .Ulysses high schools were
inspected and a stop of two hours was
made by the inspector at Columbus to
examine the work In drawing in Col
umbus high school done by Miss Mat
ion Smith, who will be remeni beted
as a former university student and
niece of ex-Chancellor Canfield. Pro
fessor Hodgrnan was very much Im
pressed with the work done by Miss
Smith and invited her to write an ar
ticle on the subject of drawing in the
public schools for the University Jour-ual.
