Winifred Hyde, '00, now fellow of
philosophy in Cornell university, has
been appointed to a European fellow
ship from that school and will study
in Germany next year.

Sloan, Iowa, where Cowglll Is prin

Dr. Frederick E. Bolton, of Iowa Uni
versity, will speak at Convocation this
morning. Easter music will also be on
the program.
Easter vacation begins at 6 p. m.
today and ends at 8 a. ni. Wednesday,
April 26. No railroad rates have been
secured.
The meeting of the University Senate
tailed for last evening was postponed
because of a lack of a quorum, until
one week from Wednesday.
Professor Miller of the department of
forestry, now at Washington, D. C,
preparing his report on the timber
growth of eastern Nebraska, gave an
illustrated lecture on forestry before
the Lend-a-Hand club at Baltimore,
Maryland, Monday night, April 17.
It Is reported on good authority that
several members of the University
faculty are seriously disappointed in
not receiving the raise in salary that
they had expected when the Increased

by the last session of the Nebraska leg
islature. Assistant Registrar Clark, who was
appointed to the position of University
purchasing agent by the Regents at
their recent meeting, has opened up
his office in U 112 and all parties desir
ing to see him may find him there.
