The Acadomy DebatinR Club has ad
journed for the rest of the year and
will not meet again until after the
close of Uie football senson next year
Although no debates with outside
schools were held this year, the stu
dents who attended the club regulaily
feel that they have profited gieatly
fiom the opportunity to gain practical
knowledge In argumentation and many
of them have been taking class work
In It The club has been exceptionally
st'ctessful this year The attendance
nl the meetings has been large from
the btart. The good attendance ha-)
been largely due to the fact that the
club has been tun on to-educational
lines and the girls hae taken unusual

The Academy baseball team played
the University 1 aw College Thursday
and were again defeated by a Rood

between the Academy nine and the

seem to be unable to develop a bat
tel y that will do satisfactory work
and all of the games so far have gone
