Dean Driscol, '05, has been forced
to discontinue his work In tho Univer
sity on account of tho serious illness
o' his father. Extensive travel has
been prescribed and "Drls" will ac
company his father west Immediately.
MIsb Ethel Masters, a Nebraska
alumnus, now teaching In the city
schools of Winthrop, Minnesota, has
been re-elected to tho position at an
advanced salary. Miss Masters is
thinking of returning of returning to
the University for graduate work and
may refuse the offer.
Professor Brurler and M. II. Swenk,
both of tho Department of Entomology
made a trip to Humboldt, Nebraska,
yeBtorday. The trip was made in the
interest of tho work of the State En
tomologist. A breeding cage will be
established at that place for tho study
of the habits of tho Hession fly. Under
tho direction of Professor Brunor, a
study of about ton Nebraska insects
will bo made during tho coming sum
mer by mon who have made a special
ty of entomological work. Several of
those mon will bo secured from those
who are specializing in the Department
pf Entomology this year.
