now a lecturer In Clarke University at
Worcester, Mass., was a campus visi
tor yesterday.
F. O Bruner has recently distin
guished himself again. He has lately
been given charge of the bureau for
study of children by the board of edu
cation of Chicago.
W J Uryan will deliver a lecture
before the students and faculty of the
School of Agriculture next Tuesday
evening at 7:30 In the Armory at the
Farm. The topic on which he will
speak has not yet been announced

The first Installation of tho Som
brero went to press Saturday alter
noon. The contract, which includes
the printing and binding of over one
thousand copies, has been let to Jacob
North & Co., and is said to be the
ln'geBt contract of any student publi
cation ever given In the University.
The work on the book will continue
steadily for four weekh, when it is ex
pected that the annual will be complet
ed and ready for sale.
Chaille Sargent was tieated to a
pieasant surprise last Friday night
when a crowd of his fellow btudents
and friends gathered at the B. & M
depot to see him off on his trip to
Panama Mr Sargent goes to Panama
to fill a position on the canal commis
sion to which he has been recently ap
pointed. Chaille has been a student
in his studies and an earnest and
TLiniful worker In the Union Society,
and the appreciation of his .work was
only fittingly shown by the "send off"
given him by his friends last Friday
night.
