Ah Check, unkind reminder
Of the sums I know I owe
The times I might be having
If you didn't novo to go,
To satisfy the clamor,
Of a most unruly band!
Each creditor, life saver,
Holds out a greedy hand.
1 wonder as I feel you
How much money I will get
When I've met that hungry rabble,
When, I've settled every debt,
I fear 't will be but little,
Then let me write home for more.
It's no wonder, is It, paper.
That my governor gets sore?

Editorial Remarks
Some arrangements other than those
made in previous yeats ought to be
resorted to in making up the inter
traternlty baseball schedule for this
year. For each team to play ten games
means more time devoted to baseball
than most of the men feel that they
can afford. This arrangement in the
past has usually resulted in a very un
Batisfactoty conclusion for such a large
number of games can hardly be play
ed off.
The Sombrero Board has received
a quantity of sample cuts and plates
for the Sombrero which will appear
about May 4th. The cuts are unusual
ly clear and the work is considered
ery excellent. A number of proofs
of fancy headings and pen and Ink
sketches have been also received.
Its not just "luck" that causes our
success in pleasing young men in the
matter of clothes. It's due to our
knowledge of what a young man wants
and our ability to provide it for him.
We are sure of this. Paine's Clothing

The article In Friday's Issue of the
"Nebraskan" regarding the board's
position with respect to the prospec
tive Law Annual expressed the senti
ment of the board as It was spoken In
meeting. The stand taken Is undoubt
edly fully warranted. Although a col
lege In Itself yet the Law School Is
part and parcel of the University and
the regular University publications
ought as such to be representative of
the Law Department.. By necessary av
langements the Junior and Senior
Law classes can be- represented In the
University Junior and Senior publica
tions to the mutual advantage of both,
whereas If the Laws publish their own
book the other publications lose tbe
Law patronage and the Laws gain
practically nothing. The strongest ai
gument which can be brought to bear
against a Law Annual is the signal
the (list practice. A second meeting
was held on the field In the afternoon.
The committee whlch-is circulating the
subscription paper Is meeting with fair
success and it Is probable that the
money to purchase the equipment to
begin active practice will be all sub
scribed by the latter part of next week.
Vhe comlmttee Is trying to get enough
money to purchase suits. No games
have been scheduled yet and It Is quite
probable that no games with organiza
tions outside of the city of Lincoln
will be played.
