Editorial Remarks
Nobraoka agalnBt Omaha Y. M. C. A.
tonight, Omaha plays good ball. Come.
Bring your lungs with you and givo
that Unl. y'll you laid away laHt
Thanksgiving.
The Freshman claan ho ut laht or
ganized for tho Bocond tvomoetcr. Tho
loss of its prt-flident during tho middle
of tho first Homester w as a severe blow
to "Oh effoctivonoas, and ie rrHpon
Hlble largely, no doubt, for the appar
ent Inactivity of that class. With n
good- man at tho hoad tho Freshman
will doubtless prove tbemselvea ontlre
ly worthy of the privilege of affixing
U of N "Oft after their names.
Tonight basketball onthuslattts will
hava tho first opportunity to show, in
a substantial way, thoir appreciation
of the excellent work of tho 'varsity on
their- recent trip north. Tho Omaha
Y. W. C. A. is always an opponent
worthy of our steel and never yet has
gono down to defeat without a game
light. That we will win is, of course,
confidently expected, but there
nhould be a crowded armory tonight
to greet tho team on its first appear
ance since its five conBecutivo victor
ies away from home.
With one or two possible exceptions
the men appointed to lead the cheer
ing durlugjLho football season have
considered their duty done when the
wason of football ends. Uut as long
au there is an opportunity to lead the
htudent body in loyal cheers of sup
port tho work of theso loaders-is un
finished. Thero will be several good
games of basketball played on our
own floor yet this season, games which
wo will win, of course, but games, nev
ertheless, which will bo close con
tests. The students are always oager
to cheer on their team, whatover it
n.ay be, to its best efforts, and this
cheering is, of coin so, most effective
under leadership. The game tonight
U a good opportunity to begin ss--.tematic
rooting at basketball games.''
