A strenuous effort is being made at
tho Academy to mako up tho deficit in
tho Athlotlc Association's treasury
which comes as a result of a lack of
support on tho part of tho Academy
students during tho 1904 football sea
son. The Academy managomont was
compelled to call off tho gamo with
York high school, which was to have
been played in Lincoln, becauso of a
lack in funds in tho local treasury.
Tho equipment was furnished by the
association this year for the first time
and the receipts of tho games failed to
meet the expenses of tho year.
A thorough canvass of tho studonts
is being made by a committeo for sub
scriptions. So far about twenty-five
dollars has been BUbscrlbod and the
major part of the deficit will probably
bo made up.
Tho bills have all been paid by the
manager and principal and they are
depending upon tho students to ro-cm-burso
them.
Tho Sophomore basketball toam are
arranging other games with college
teams in the vicinity of Lincoln. The
men under Captain Bowman practice
ecry day and havo secured good team
work. Tho individual playing of these
men is also very good. In all proba
bility a gamo will be played with Lin
coln Academy. A- return gamo with
Wcsleyan is expected.

week and another biblography given

Tho basketball gamo between Ne
braska and tho Omaha Y. M. C. A.
team will take place on Wednesday
night Managor Beore will havo re
served Boat tickets on sale at tho co-op
