Every student at the University of
Vermont In the scientific and academic
departments is to be taxed five dol
lars for the support of athletics.
The 'Illustrated Sporting News is
shortly to begin a series of articles
by authorities on athletics. President
Hadley, of Yale, will contribute the
first article.
At Emperor Williams suggestion
Harvard University and the University
of Berlin are to exchange lecturers in
a lecturo course. The head of each
University will select the visiting lecturers.
Stanford will soon have a new ath
letic field, Including track, field house,
grand stands, etc., costing twenty-five
thousand dollars.
Zeta Psl Is to re-establish a chapter
at Syracuse University. The former
chapter died out in 1887, but the char
ter was never withdrawn.
NEW COURSE IN STUDY.
Tho Forestry Department will offer
a course In Farm Forestry next se
mester. This course will begin the
first of the semester anl close April
1st. It will Include a general survey
of the subject of forestry, followed by
Instructions In establishing and man
aging wind breaks, shelter belts, and
farm wood lots. Two hours lecture
with field work. One hour credit.
