Kolbach 1326 O ftrcet ; (Continued from Page 1.) tion is a tendoncy toward llborty, but at all time to live we must laboi Iauoi Is that which is put fortn for the production of material things and all laborers should bo rewarded In duo proportions. omo men receive what they do not produce on account of Tand being In the hands, of a few." Here Mr. White explained the theory of Henry George's proposition which he gavo in the followln.' substance: "His idea was to stop taxing the in dustiiTs and to tax the rentH which will give us the privilege of enjoying what we produce. There are only three ways of getting at a dollar, to earn, beg or steal 4t. To earn a million dol lars at $.( 0 per day would take over (100 years; but we have plenty of mil lionaires. They must either be over ()() years old or have been given their rrjonoy or else have stolen It, for It is an impossibility for them to earn it only by the laws which maks It pos fible for one man to get what he does not earn, nnd not another earn what he (U)cs not get We claim that the whole result Is due to the ground rent." Mr. White had little trouble from the very beginning in holding the closest attention of hl hearers. HIa deep, rlcn, magniloquent voico and the earnest ness of bis efforts commanded' unusual attention to his words. Taking the addref.s all In all from the expressions of those who heard It, which is a valid teat, it was worthy of much praise and commendation and was adjudged as masterly a product as has been given In chapel this year. The senior football team will play Its first game with the Lincoln aca demy this afternoon at 1:30. The senior team is always handicapped by the fact (hat there are so few men In the class by the time that it reaches the last stretch, and as a rule these few men are not noted as athletes, but they always try to make up In spirit what they lack in sc ience. and are de termined to make a good lace for the university championship this year. President Hunter has been inculcating the game into the aspirants, and If he is as successful with his class as he Is with the high h hool, success Is certain. The fact that the laws at last gained admission to the Interclass Athletic board has added' zest to the daily prac tice of the teams: This year there will be but two teams, a freshman and a junior, for there are only a few sen iors merely those who for some strange reason decided to remain be hind" when their class graduated last year. The exact date for the great game has not been decided upon yet, but it will be within the next ten days, and a hard, bitter game 1b ex pected, for both classes are decided In the opinion that it is going to be the first law class to win the university chnmplonship. .
