The PI Phis are planning a dance
to be given on Thanksgiving eve The
affair will probably bo unique in many
details. It is said that an Interesting
feature of the oening will be the pres
ence of tho' chaperons with each of
the young ladles, while the young men
will all "bach" it.
Preparations are being made by
most of tho fraternities and sorori
ties for affairs on or near Thanksgiv
ing. Several of tho fraternities will
glvo dances and a number of sorori
ties are already planning unique din
ner parties for Thanksgiving eve.

The dance given by tho Phi Gamma
fraternity on Friday evening at Walsh
Hall proved a most onjoyablo affair.
Tho hall waa prettily decorated in
royal purple the fraternity color.
About fifty couples wero present. Light
refreshments wore seneti during tho
evening.
Mr. H L. Stoddard, advertising man
ager of tho "Daily Californlan" of tho
university of California, was a guest
at the Delta Upsilon house on Satur
day. Mr. Stoddard is making an ex
tended trip to all tho large univer
sities and colleges of the country. Ho
was a welcome visitor at thr Dally
Nebraskan office.
Invitations aro now out for tho party
and danco to bo gjven at the dormitory
Nov. 19th. As the dancing spaco' is
limited', each girl has been allowed a
certain number of invitations. Mr.
Hayes, who now owns the building, has
kindly consented to give tho girls tho
use of tho dining room for dancing,
oIho to furniBh the orchestra and re
freshments for the evening's entertainment.
On Saturday ovening tho annual
banquet of the Phi Gammas was held
at tho Hotol Royal. Twenty-flve
alumni wero present, among whom
wero Hon. R. E. Ward, Dr. Ross and
Dr. Stevenson, president of Bcllovue
college. The tablo decorations wero
especially handsome. Banks of chry
santhemums formod the centerpiece,
while clusters of carnations wero given
to each guest. Covers wero laid for
torty-flve.
Tho Saturday sales at the Two Fifty
Hat store are eye openers for students.
