Last, Friday night shortly after
?:00 a "dripping" procession of girls
began to enter the homo of Governor
Mickey. Freshmen, Sophomores, Juti
iors and Seniors and faculty ladles
present.
Considering the weather the attend
ance was very good. Those who went
regardless of the elements went with
the proper spirit and everybody helped
everybody oise to have a good time.
Ice was served with Mies Alice Howell
at Che punch-bpwl, and lifter a little
Jollification In the way of recitation
and chorus singing, the girls went
home convinced that' a reception on a
rainy night can be made very successful.
SUNDAY MEETING.
The Y. M. and Y. W. associations
held their first union meeting of the
year on Sunday afternoon, in Memorial
Hall. A Elmer Turner, '03, of Omaha,,
addressed the students on the subject
of Christian missions. His talk was
Interesting and inspiring. He showed
that a knowledge of Christian missions
is essential to the highest culture.
Mr, Hilton, another former Y. M. C.
A. worker in the university, sang two
solos.
The mission study courses were ably
presented by A. W? Billing; then those
who Tvfshed to do so were given the
opportunity to register for one of the
(oursea.
The meeting was well attended, and
ery successful.
