Permit me to remind you of the fact
that competition for the "Hall Prizes"
of the American Institute of Civics
is open to, and is invited from mem
bers of the University of Nebraska,
and to ask that, in such manner as
you think proper, they be Informed of
this fact.
"International Arbitration." is sug
gested as a subject especially worthy
of attention, but papers upon any oth
er subject, bearing upon affairs of gov
ernment, citizenship, or social order
generally; Including affairs of admin
istration, statecraft, ttc, are accept
able. Papers intended for use in connec
tion with the college program are not
barred on this account. Either the
original or a duplicate of papers to be
submitted should be forwarded at the
earliest oppoitunity, and not later than
May 10th.

Junior Program at Chapel.

The Junior class' gave a delightful
program in chapel yesterday morn
ing and they are to be congratulated
upon the showing they have made.
The following numbers were given af
ter after the devotional exercises by
Mr. Hunter:
Vocal Solo. Miss I-ansing.
Reading, Charles Sawyer.
Piano Solo, Miss McEaihron.
Trombone Solo, Clare Cornell.
Vocal S,olo. Miss McCune.
Each selection was well rendered,
find worthy of commendation. The
oc-c-ompaniments by Miss Raymond on
the organ, and Miss draco McWhinney
on the piano, who played for Mr. Cor
rell's trombone solo, were Indeed very
tine.
The program was certainly a suc
cess, which reveals the quality of tlw

to the semi-finals yesterday. Scribner

Captain Stanley entertained Com
pany A at its annual blow-out,, at the
Phi Gamma Delta house yesterday
evening. A number of the old men
were present and assisted to revive the
historic traditions of Company A.
Talks were made by Commandant
Chase, Captain Stanley and others of
the officers. The men were enabled
to intermingle and become better ac
quainted, and much enthusiasm in the
company's Interests was aroused.
