Next Friday evening the Dellans will hold a business meeting for the pur pose of electing officers. A short pro gram will also he rendered. Professor Smith's class in Evolution ol the Secondary School is now visiting In groups the various church schools In the city and vicinity, studying their curriculum, methods and aims for the purpose of comparison with other sec ular institutions. The class in Current Events has been ptudying some very interesting topics the past few weeks. Yesterday the state of affairs in San Domingo and Hayti were discussed and last week the condition of the Negro. Next week the Present Condition of Mormonism," will be discussed, special attention be ing paid to the theory of the church !n Regard to polygamy. Recital Last Night. A good sized crowd listened to the post-graduate recital of Mr. Philip Hudson last evening in Memorial hall. The recital was of about an hour and a half duration, and in it Mr. Hudson more than sustained the reputation as a finished musician that lie has already secured. The production was univer sally commended. The program, which we reprint by request, was as follows: Variations and fugue on theme by Handel, Op. 24, Brahms. Sonate n Hat minor.
