Tho building commit tee of the Board of Regents is now in session, trying to devlBe some means for solving tho question of tho loca tion of. the new physics building. It is probable that this will be upon the atnietic field, but tho plans may bo so changed as to permit onough space be ing reserved to still allow athletics to hold sway at tho University of Ne braska. Superintendent of Construction Cho wlns stated this much to a Nebraskan reporter, In an Interview yesterday af ternoon. He continued: "The plans may bo altered by cutting off ton feet from the north wing of tho building Instead of making tho proposed addi tion. This, It Is tnought, would leave sufficient space for tho football field. Tho Regents are just as anxious as Tho plans for tho new Administra tion building are now at the offlco of the superintendent of constructoan, and whllo they will be subject to Boveral minor changes, practically represent tho building as it will bo constructed. The structure will be two stories In height, with a basement. From tho ground to the first floor lino it will be built of cut stono. Sand brick will be used from that point to tho caps of tho second story, when stone will again be employed. The general plan of construction, will be modeled accord ing to the Renaissance style. Three entrances, on the east, west and south, will be furnished, but tho former two will open on the main hall. ThiB will be floored with marble and Mosaics. Tho stairways leading to the Becond floor will also bo of marble. A hand some driveway for carriages will bo situated at tho Bouth front of tho new building. The basement will be rather shal low, being only five foot bolow tho ground. It will contain vaults,, store and Janitors' rooms. Tho vaults will extend to the second floor. All records will bo store in the basement vaults, while papers and books in .immediate use will be deposited in tho other floors.
