A third division In electrical engin
eering 8 has heen formed, which will
meet on Monday and Wednesday.
The electrical department has pro
cured a new arc lamp which does
away with the acetylene projecting
lantern. This lantern Is used In street
Mr. Wells, who Is traveling engineer
for the" Burlington, was a visitor Wed
nesday evening at the Engineering so

to hear Mr. Wells In a talk In regard
to locomotive boilers, a subject to

H. C. Searles, civil engineering '02,
has returned from Wyoming, where
he has been engaged jn railroad work
since his graduation". Mr. Searles
worked for some time on the Moffaf
lino, west of Denver, and later on an
independent line out of Laramie, Wyo.
