The Senior baskot ball team had It3
picture taken yesterday.
MIbh IJerthu Vanderellce has returned
to resumo her University work after
a semester's absence.
Clifford R. Fulton has returned to
school after a semester's Eibsenee. He
has been employed In the shops at
Havelock, where ho resides.
Homer Martyn. of Columbus, who at
tended tho University last year, has
returned and resumed his studies.
The State PresB association was en
tertained by the Historical society at
their rooms last week.
Miss Marie Richards of the Conserv
atory In visiting at her home In Weep
ing Wator.

.lames Curlyle, the Unlcrslty gard
ncr, has gone to his home in Kair
bury on account of Illness.
Miss. Mary Wolf brought a curious
paloothlc specimen from Alabama,
where she visited last year. It Is called
n "bark stripper" by the natives there.
William Robertson has returned to
his home In Plattsmouth. where he Is
deputy to his father, who Is district
court clerk of Cass county.
Miss Ada Beardsley of Cedar Rap
ids? a student In the University last
year. Is back In school and has taken
up her studies.
A course in physical diagnosis in
connection with the medical depart
ment, Is given this semester by Dr.
Clapp. The clans meets in 1T. 102.
Miss Winifred Hyde, who took her
M. A. degree In philosophy a year ago
last June, and has been a fellow at
Bryn Mawr the last two years, is fin
ishing up her work for a doctor's de
gree, which she will get In June.
Mr. V. L. Willis, of Omaha, one of
the speakers of the Y. M. C. A. con
dition now In session in this city,
will speak at the t W. C. A. noon
meeting Friday, February r at 12:20.

Mr. E. E. Blackmail of the Historical
society, has been preparing a series of
articles for publication on the Lewis
and Clark expedition, 1801. with spe
cial reference to their camps in Ne
braska. Mr. I G. Bruner, who was a gradu
ate of the physics department, and Is
now an assistant at Columbia, will
have charge of a bureau of psycho
metric measurements at the exposition
at St. Louis.
The Medical society will meet Fri
day night at 8 o'clock.

letters will be road, one from H. P.
Harger. fellow In zoology last year,
now at Rush Medical college, and one
from W. E. Rowe. now at Northwest
