riage at Holy Trinity Episcopal church
The bride wns attended by her sister.

and Gertrude Graves, sisters of the
groom. Mr. Gnylord Bennett attend
ed the groom. Rev. F. I). Graves of
Ord. and Rev. B. J. Fit, of St. Luke's
Episcopal church, officiated. The ush
ers were Messrs. Clifford Crooks, Fred
Winnyre, Edward Qulllan and Ralph
Miner. After the ceremony a recep
tion was held at the Sagma Alpha Ep
tilon house, after which the newly
wedded couple departed for Kansas
City on their honeymoon.
Both of the contracting parties nie
of prominent families, the bride being
the daughter of J. C. Haecker, a prom
inent citizen of South Auburn, and the
groom is the son of Bishop Graves of
the Diocese of the Platte. Mr. Grave.

pha Epsilon fraternity. The bride is
one of the handsomest and most pop
ular young ladies of the University.

Scholarship Offered by Baltimore
Association.
The Baltimore Association for the
pic motion of the University Education
of Women is prepared to offer a fel
lowship of the value of $!00 for the
yea: 1J4-190T.
This fellowship will be aailable for
work at either an American or a for
eign university.
I'lef.'rence will be given in the award
of this fellowship to women from
Maryland and the south.
Applications will be leceived by the
chairman or any member of the com
mittee of award, and should be pre
sented lief ore March 20.
It has been decided to require from
candidates evidences of ability and fit
ness as specified In the circular 6f the
Association of Collegiate Alumnae, as
"The fellowship will be awarded
only to candidates who give promise
of distinction In the subjects to whi.-h
they devote themselves. It will be the
aim of the committee to appoint the
candidate who is best fitted for the po
sition through original gifts, previous
training, energy, power of endurance,
and health. To this end they will re
ceive arpllcations in writing, from eli
gible candidates, who will present as
clearly as possible, t heir claims to the
fellowship. A competitive examina
tion will not be held, but the bestowal
of the fellowship will lie based upon
poet of success in her chosen-line of
study. Such evidence will naturally
the candidate's ability and of her pros
ccnslst of (a) her college diploma, (b)
testimonials as to superior ability and
high character from her professors
and other qualified judges, (c) satis
factory evidence of thoroughly good
health, (d) a statement of the work In
which she proposes to engage subse
quently, (e) last, and of chief import
ance, examples of her scientific or llt
ciary work in the form of papers or
articles, or accounts of scientific Inves
tigations which she has caried out.
Prerernce will be given, other things
being equal, to graduates of not more
than five years' standing."
This fellowship may, in exceptional

years by the same person.
