Tho Atlas engine in tho electrical engineering laboratory blew out a cyl inder head tho past week, and Is now laid off for repairs. Inspector Crabtree visited tho Bea trice schools Monday and Tuesday. He starts tomorrow for an Inspection of tho larger schools between Grand Isl and and North Platte. The English department is being hindered again bl lack of funds for tho payment of readers' salaries. It Is feared that this will Interfere with the work of the department. The regular Wednesday prayer meet ing for mon will be held in the associa tion rooms this evening at 7 o'clock. Tho meeting will be led by A. W. Bill ing. All men Interested are Invited to bo present. There will be a cabinet meeting In tho Y. M. C. A. rooms this evening. The chairmen will present written reports, and other important matters will be attended to. Tho meeting will begin at 7:30 p. m., and a full attendance is desired. Fred Morrill as given up his place as teacher in the Seward high school, and has accepted a position as In structor in elementary science and bot any in the Lincoln high school. Three judges will be selected, one of whom will bo Professor Fogg, which will Initiate an innovation In club debates here. The losing team will treat the two clubs to apples.
