Walter Arends Is seriously ill at his home In Syracuse, Neb. He has been at the point of death, but is much bet ter according to the latest reports. Guard mount will be held on Friday evenings hereafter. Men will be ex cused from attendance at tactics classes when detailed for duty' as guards. The high 3chool had their prelim inary debate last Tuesday and Wednes day evenings. The subject under dis cission was. "Aie Unions Beneficial?" Miss Jessie M'Callum. a former graduate of this University, who has been teaching in the high school at Friend, Neb., was a visitor in Limoln last week. Mr. Bixhy gave an address to the high school students last week. He spoke on the art of being kind to oth ers, and incidentally quoted a few of his poems.
