Ten boxes of geological material con
sisting of fossils, rocks, crystals and
ores, were received from Nampa, Idaho,
this week. They were consigned by
Prof. John- P. Davis. The collection
was prepared by his aunt while she
was an assistant under Dr. Alexander
Wlnchell of the University of Michi
gan, much of the material having been

W. Q. Mouck met with an accident
yesterday afternoon while in a foot
ball scrlmage, sustaining quite a severe
ankle sprain. He was playing with
the scrubs and In one of the plays he
was burled beneath a heap of players
and hiB ankle violently wrenched. For
the time being his injury was very
painful and he was borne from the field
in a daxed condition. The services of
one of the team physicians who hap
pened to he on the grounds were made
use of and he was taken to his room
at 510 North 14th street. He does not
expect to be laid up, as he is able to
navigate about, but It will probably le
some time before he will show up for
practice again.
